Life at Lift
The Lift Values
In this short video, some of our staff reflect on what the Lift values of Accessibility, Care and Empowerment mean to them, as well as contemplate which values could be added to this trio…
Christmas celebrations!
December 11th 2022
The Lift team got together for a lovely end of year lunch in the Adelaide Hills. The kids kept themselves entertained chasing chickens, while the adults kicked back and enjoyed the sunshine!
Movember
All November long!
Hats off to the Lift Movember team who this year raised a very impressive $10,100! What a fantastic effort in aid of raising the profile of men’s health issues such as prostate cancer, testicular cancer and mental health.
R U OK? Day
14th September 2022
This year we marked R U OK? Day - a National Day of Action when we remind Australians that every day is a day to ask, ‘are you OK?’ and start a meaningful conversation to support the people in their world through life’s ups and downs.
The theme for 2022 was NO QUALIFICATIONS NEEDED meaning you don't need to be an expert to ask, 'are you OK?'
At Lift Cancer Care Services we prompted each other to sit down with a friend and have a conversation to ask 'are you ok?' by handing out some delicious KitKats!
Dry July
July 2022
This July, the staff team at Lift have committed to going dry in the name of raising funds for the Dry July Foundation.
The Dry July Foundation ensures local and national cancer support organisations across Australia can deliver practical, tangible support services for people affected by cancer and we are exciting to be contributing to the cause! If you would like to sponsor Team Lift, can you do so by CLICKING HERE
Otherwise a word of encouragement next time you're in at Lift would be wonderful!
Mother’s Day Classic
Sunday 8th May
What a great morning we had at the Adelaide Mother's Day Classic! Celebrating it’s 25 year, Team Lift were very pleased to be participating in this wonderful event. The weather was kind and we enjoyed a lovely 4km stroll to help raise money and awareness for breast cancer research. Here are a few snaps from the day!
World Cancer Day 2022
February 4th 2022
February 4th is World Cancer Day - the global initiative aimed at raising awareness, improving education & catalysing personal, collective and government action relating to cancer.
This year's World Cancer Day's theme is ‘Close the Care Gap – Everyone deserves access to cancer care’.
To mark World Cancer Day, we asked the staff at Lift to reflect on what this meant for them. This is what they said...
It’s not what’s under the Christmas tree…
December 2021
As we approach the end of year, we would like to take the opportunity to wish you all a Merry Christmas. May you have the opportunity to surround yourself with friends and family and enjoy a peaceful holiday season.
Staff Christmas Party 2021
What a lovely afternoon! The Lift team got together along with their families to mark the end of the year with a big picnic in the Botanic Park. We had a great time playing backyard cricket, feasting on a delicious big paella and catching up after what has been a busy year!
Movember
All November long!
Meet the Lift Cancer Care ‘Mo-vember’ Team! The boys have set a target of rasing $2000 for Men’s Health Awareness and if these pre-prepared photos are anything to go by, we think they’ll have no trouble at all!

We did a quick whip around today at Lift and asked a few of the staff “What do the Lift values mean to you? Accessibility. Care. Empowerment.” Here is what they said:
Melbourne Cup
November 2nd
What would Melbourne Cup day be with out a little horsing around? While we didn’t get to nibble on cucumber sandwiches and sip champagne, we sure looked the part! Verry Elleegant indeed!
Lift All-Staff Meeting
September 28th
Twice a year the whole team gets together for dinner and a meeting. This is a great opportunity to discuss ideas, provide updates on the upcoming 6 months at Lift, and spend some time together as a group! At this meeting, we also took the chance to get an updated team photo, award some of amazing staff and we finished it all off with a funny face biscuit.
R U OK? Day 2021
