Staff Psychological Support Series

Why is Psychological Support Important for me as a staff member of Lift?

As professionals who work in oncology, we are exposed to emotional and psychological stress on a regular basis due to the nature of our work.

We often witness the suffering of patients and their families, which over a period of time can lead to burnout, compassion fatigue, and other psychological challenges.

The purpose of the Staff Psychological Support Series, is to provide structured training and debriefing to help manage the challenges of working in oncology.

How does the Psychological Support Series work?

This page includes education and training from our Clinical Psychologists in the form of short videos. These videos will look at common themes and challenges for people working in oncology. You will also find the details of our monthly debrief sessions on this page. These are voluntary, and will be facilitated by our Clinical Psychologists. The purpose of the debrief sessions is to provide time to talk about challenges and experiences you are having at work, and to allow you ask questions about the content of the training videos. These sessions will not be recorded.
