Body Composition Screen
Body composition screening provides an analysis of your body make up. It gives information about fat mass, muscle mass and hydration within your body.
Why is understanding body composition useful?
It can be useful to understand the make up of your body - ie how much muscle, fat and fluid you have. Cancer treatments can significantly alter your body composition and this information can not be determined by just taking a measure of your weight on a set of scales.
By assessing and then monitoring your body composition, you can understand what you need to focus on in order to maximise your body composition. These may be simple things like drinking more water, or may involve making changes to your diet or exercise medicine regime.
